After School Program Easter Party

LifePoint Church of Ruston is a part of Lincoln Parish School Board ACHIEVE Program, which is a program where local businesses adopt a school. Throughout the school year, they can do things for the teachers and/or students to give support, encouragement, etc. Our adopted School is Glenview Elementary School. For the 2011-2012 school year, we worked with S2S Tutor to develop an after-school tutoring program to help 15 under-achieving students who could not afford private tutoring and were nominated by their teachers. We had a lot of great sponsors who gave generously to make this program happen.

To connect our church members with the students and to give them a fun day out as a reward for their hard work, we threw them an Easter Party on Saturday at the church. It was a lot of fun for all involved and exciting to meet the kids in person as well as their siblings and parents. Here are a few pictures from the party.
